Almost every "fall" product on the market is reactive. A pressure pad waits until a patient's weight has already lifted off the mattress. A camera or infrared sensor waits until a body has already crossed a boundary — or already hit the floor. By then, the caregiver has 2–7 seconds, if that.
BedExit is predictive. The seconds before a patient stands are not silent — the body shifts, repositions and braces in recognisable ways. BedExit reads that pre-exit pattern and raises the alert during that preparation, not after the exit. Those extra seconds are the entire difference between preventing a fall and documenting one.
Three parts, hidden in the room

What makes the alert trustworthy
- No line-of-sight required. It works in complete darkness and doesn't care which side of the bed the patient exits from — so there are no blind spots.
- Not fooled by the environment. Sunlight, room heaters, fans and pets don't trigger it, which is where infrared and thermal sensors fail.
- Low false-alarm rate. Because it targets the pre-exit pattern rather than every movement, staff aren't worn down by nuisance alarms — so when BedExit alerts, they move.
- Private by design. No images, no audio, no surveillance of a bedroom. Dignity is built in.
What it is — and what it isn't
BedExit is a safety and caregiver-awareness device. It helps your team get to the bedside in time. It supports — and does not replace — your staff's judgement, your fall-risk protocols, or good room design. It is not a medical or diagnostic device, and it doesn't promise that no fall will ever occur. What it changes is the odds: more warning, earlier, for the beds most likely to need it.
